In my already short-time with RPG Developer Bakin, I can already see just about every flaw that I've had with SGB fixed up. It was outdated in a few areas and lacked some key customization options that could really help peoples projects stand out. External Scripts (Unless using Unity Exporter) and more. Proper physics, Z Axis for jumping/verticality. RPG, Basic ARPG etc, BUT, It was missing a few important things. You can create some varied types of games with it. SGB, was a really nice and relatively flexible piece of software. (Adventure FIeld IV, Aeternum Quest, PROJECT : KNIGHT 1 + 2) for Wathitdew Record Studio. I've also helped another dev release their SGB Games on the Switch. (Route Me Mail, Isolation Story and West Water.). I'm a small game dev who's released some games on the Nintendo Switch the last few years using a combination of SGB (Smile Game Builder) The dev's last program, and Unity. I don't leave reviews often but really felt like I should for this one. ![]()
